Hello Friends,
Summer’s at it’s peak and the Library has been busy!
This coming Saturday we are having a program on the Eclipse
Saturday afternoon, July 22, 1:30
The Great American Eclipse
On August 21, the United States will experience a total eclipse of the sun for the first time since 1979. Learn all about eclipses and how you can be wowed by this one. John Heasley is an astronomy educator with Driftless Stargazing and a Solar System Ambassador with NASA/JPL A limited supply of solar glasses will be given away at the program for safe eclipse viewing. You don’t want to miss this! Poster attached
The Summer Reading Program this year is more of an independent-type. Families can come to the library as convenient for them and take a story walk through the courtyard, write a note to the librarian telling something they remember about the story and put their name in the hat for the T-shirt drawing. Reading slips are also available to take home and record 2 hours of time spent with books, for another chance in the drawing. Pat Gilbert’s design for the colorful shirts this year is awesome, with a theme of Build a Better World. Yes!
Hope to see you soon,
~Cele
