Hello Friends,
This week at the Library we will have another special guest.
Thursday, April 14 at 7pm
Genevieve Davis will give a Cooking Demo and Author Talk on Fanni’s Viennese Kitchen. The author spent many happy hours eating at Fanni’s table, because Fanni, a Viennese emigre to Wisconsin in 1921, was her grandmother. Davis will make a strawberry cake at the event and sign books. Genevieve has been interviewed on WPR about her first book and movie of the same, called Secret Life, Secret Death. That book is about her other grandmother and she talked about it on her visit here last year. Fascinating research of family history.

Earlier this month, Jerry Apps came to visit, which was a very enjoyable program! You can read about it on his blog at

Story Time continues with Ms Cindy, here is her latest note:
Splish splash – splish splash heres how we walk in the rain!
Spring is really here this week! For this Tuesday, April 12th we will watercolor paint and have one more telling of The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
Looking forward through these next few weeks, I will continue with Spring inspired songs and rhymes and a new story for the last couple weeks of April.
That’s all for now. Tomorrow the North Crawford 8th graders will be bringing their kindergarten "reading buddies" for a visit to the library. Hats off to Language Arts teacher, Lori Fox-
Gillespie, who brings her 7th & 8th grade classes to the Soldiers Grove and Gays Mills Libraries each month for "library day" 🎉
Happy Spring!
